Long Distance Dynamics - Part 1: Intentionality & Restructuring

Long Distance Dynamics - Part 1: Intentionality & Restructuring

This class takes a realistic approach to making long-distance dynamics work (or not).

This class is part 1 of a 2 part series on long-distance PE/AT dynamics. Each class will holistically discuss all of the topics, but will go into more specifics depending on the part.

Has work or life distanced you from your partner? It can be difficult to figure out how to strengthen and maintain a PE/AT dynamic when you’re separated by schedules, zip codes, or time zones. How often do you see each other? How do you play long distance? Will things ever be the same? Do you call it quits?

We’ll discuss ways to restructure and reframe your dynamic with the intentionality for mutual fulfillment. Topics of discussion include:

  • Developing long-term relationship longevity strategies.
  • Setting realistic time frames for visits and mitigating the drop after you leave.
  • Ways to play long distance that are equally sexy and satisfying.
  • Coping with “FOMO” of new play partners and events that you or your partner can’t attend together.
  • Creating realistic and kind exit-strategies for if the relationship isn’t working.

This class suitable for everyone – regardless of whether they’re in a long-distance PE/AT dynamic – as it will cover more nuanced and dynamic ways of communicating and negotiating with your partners.
