Long Distance Dynamics - Part 2: Adapting Protocols and Expectations

Long Distance Dynamics - Part 2: Adapting Protocols and Expectations

This class takes a realistic approach to making long-distance dynamics work (or not).

This class is part 2 of a 2 part series on long-distance PE/AT dynamics. Each class will holistically discuss all of the topics, but will go into more specifics depending on the part.

Has work or life distanced you from your partner? It can be difficult to figure out how to strengthen and maintain a PE/AT dynamic when you’re separated by schedules, zip codes, or time zones. Do you remove protocols, change them, or add new ones? How do you do any of that without compromising the foundation your relationship was built on?

We’ll specifically discuss ways to restructure and reframe protocols and rituals with intentionality. Topics of discussion include:

  • Adapting existing protocols and creating new ones.
  • Navigating being part of different communities – together and separately.
  • Creating new strategies for differing levels of protocol for long distance and when you’re alone in a new community.
  • Ways to play and adhere to rituals and protocols long distance that are equally sexy and satisfying.

This class suitable for everyone – regardless of whether they’re in a long-distance PE/AT dynamic – as it will cover more nuanced and dynamic ways of communicating and negotiating with your partners.
